    Legal Issue Awareness

    Gender Diversity

This workshop develops one’s skills of self-insight, empathy, inquiry, advocacy, and compromise.  Upon completing this workshop, participants will have the knowledge to: actively promote dialogue between men and women to identify and solve issues that separate them, closely look at sources and impacts of gender-based assumptions, identify new behaviors and skills that increase performance surrounding these issues, and commit to specific behaviors that will improve performance.

    Sexual Harassment

This workshop has two training modules. The first module is designed for managers and supervisors: legal definitions, supervisory responsibilities, prevention strategies, employee responsibilities and diversity as it relates to sexual harassment are covered.  The second module is designed for employees.  An overview of the law, the employer’s internal policies, employee responsibilities and diversity as it relates to sexual harassment are covered.

    Discovering Diversity

There is a strong business case that can be made for addressing diversity issues in the workplace.  Women have come to make up 50% of the workforce.  When men and women (and all different types of people) work collaboratively, the results and types of input are considered.  These issues relate directly to improving productivity and profitability.  Studies conclusively show that people who come to work relaxed instead of defensive or stressed in their work settings are much more productive.

A Discovering Diversity Profile is utilized as part of the program to help employees learn how they personally respond to workforce diversity issues, and where they need to develop increased understanding.  It is the foundation on which authentic communication, acceptance, teamwork and successful futures will be built.  The Discovering Diversity Profile covers for key diversity areas: Knowledge, Understanding, Acceptance, and Behavior.
